Read More →There’s a buzz in the air, and it’s echoing all the way from Georgia to every corner of the girl golf world. The U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship returned to one of golf’s most iconic venues: the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia, from July 14–19, 2025.
And guess who’s on the roster? Our very own Marie Birdie rockstar, Bella Simões. She’s not just stepping onto the fairways. She’s stepping into the spotlight, ready to slay them course like the Girl Boss she is.
At Marie Birdie, we live for these moments: when talent, heart, and style collide. Bella’s qualification for this prestigious event is more than just a personal win. It’s a win for every girl who’s ever dreamed big and trained hard.
Bella Simões has long been a standout on the junior golf circuit, and her recent qualification for the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship is just the latest milestone in her rapidly growing career. As a passionate competitor, she’s demonstrated time and time again that nothing can stand in her way.
Bella has been turning heads in the golf world since she was barely tall enough to carry her own bag. A native of Florida, she first gained national attention by winning three consecutive U.S. Kids Golf World Championships in Pinehurst (2021, 2022, and 2023) in the Girls 7, 8, and 9 age divisions, respectively.
In 2023, Bella also made headlines by qualifying and winning the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club—a dream come true for any young golfer. Her tournament resume already includes:
● 🏆 3x U.S. Kids Golf World Champion.
● 🥉 Top 3 finisher at Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals (2023).
● 🎯 Multiple wins on the South Florida PGA Junior Tour.
● 🌎 Regular top-10 finishes in international junior competitions.
● 🏆 Girls Drive, Chip & Putt (DCP) Championship.
Now, as she steps onto the big stage at the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, Bella is proving she’s ready for the next level—bringing the same energy, focus, and Girl Boss attitude that made her a standout from the start.
Founded in 1949, the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship is the ultimate proving ground for young female golfers under 19 with a Handicap Index not exceeding 9.4. It’s hosted by the United States Golf Association (USGA) and is often considered the highest level of junior competition for girls in the country.
Each year, over 1,500 players from all over the globe enter local qualifiers for a chance to secure one of the 156 coveted spots in the championship field. This isn’t just a tournament—it’s where future LPGA stars are born. Alumni of this elite event include legends like Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, and Ariya Jutanugarn.
The 2025 edition, returning to the Atlanta Athletic Club for the first time since 2014, promises world-class golf and historic vibes. This club, known for hosting major championships like the PGA and U.S. Open, provides a championship-caliber test that demands precision, strategy, and mental toughness.
What to Expect from the 2025 Event:
● Stroke Play: July 14–15 (36 holes)
● Match Play: July 16–19 (6 rounds)
● Final Match: 36 holes of fierce head-to-head action on July 19
● Course: Highlands Course, a pristine, tree-lined challenge with tight landing areas and lightning-fast greens
This year’s field will be packed with the best of the best, but all eyes are on Bella Simões—one of the brightest young stars in junior golf.
The U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship is more than just a competition. It’s a celebration of dreams, dedication, and fierce determination. Whether it’s Bella Simões lighting up the leaderboard or a first-time qualifier stepping onto a championship course, each player is writing her own story.
We’re sending our biggest cheers to Bella—you’ve already made us proud! And to every girl teeing it up in the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, remember: You belong here. You’ve earned this moment. And you’ve got a whole community of girl golfers rooting for you.
